BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- Bangor Police have arrested a 17 year old boy for a third time in three days on charges stemming from a rash of graffiti in Downtown Bangor, which included two synagogues.
The teen was arrested earlier this week and charged with aggravated criminal mischief for allegedly defacing several buildings and street signs in Bangor. Some of the graffiti included swastikas spray painted at Congregation Beth Israel and the Beth Abraham synagogue.
Police said the teen was arrested Thursday on charges of theft and violating his conditions of release. They said he was observed by police officers going into a hardware store and was later found with paint that he allegedly stole from the store.
This time he is not being released to his parents' custody. He is being taken to the Mountain View Youth Development Center in Charleston.
