DOVER-FOXCROFT (NEWS CENTER)-- A man from Milo was sentenced Monday for setting a fire in Milo that destroyed several buildings in downtown.
32 year old Christopher Miliano plead guilty to arson, burglary, theft and aggravated assault. Miliano was sentenced in Piscatiquis County Superior Court to twenty years in jail with all but 8 years of that sentence suspended. He will then be on probation for 4 years following his release.
Prosecutors say in September of 2008, Miliano broke into Hobknobbers pub and stole some items. He then set a fire to cover his tracks. The fire then spread to several other businesses in downtown Milo.
Miliano was also charged with assaulting his girlfriend in a separate incident.
Miliano originally plead not guilty to all the charges against him.
