SOUTH PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) - Voters have given the go ahead to a school repair bond package worth nearly $6 million dollars.
Voters approved the bond by nearly 300 votes: 1259 to 961.
That bond money will be used for repairs and security systems at the Memorial and Mahoney Middle schools. And to help the high school keep its accreditation.
Voters also approved the education budget for the coming fiscal year by a vote of 1472 to 752.
