Last year we introduced you to Judy Anderson, and her weight loss program she created. On this Fit at Five we show you how a member from the Changes program has taken their success and is now inspiring others. Charlie Gagnon has lost 83 pounds through Changes and has cut his prescriptions down from 11 to 5!

"You know I get up in the morning now, and I feel great!"

His success has lead to "changes" in his workplace. The president of National Distributors felt that it would be a good idea to make enhancements to the company's wellness program. They now offer incentives to employees to earn cash back for adopting healthy habits. They can even earn up to $210 a year just by lowering their BMI.

The company also offers weekly meetings of the Changes program for employees to take part in. The eight week sessions are offered to employees at a discount rate, but as always there is a catch. Employees taking part need to make it to 6 out of 8 meetings. If they do not meet that requirement they then have to pay full price for the meetings.

Another fantastic twist to the healthy changes being made in the workplace. For every pound an employee loses the company donates $2 to a local food cupboard. On December 8 2011, just 8 weeks into the program, the group donated $722 to the South Portland Food Cupboard.

We have provided a link for more information of the Changes weight loss program as well as the National Distributors wellness program.

At the end of August the team taking part in the Changes Weight Loss program at National Distributors celebrated 1,000 pounds lost! Fit at Five is so proud of their hard work, and we want to congratulate them with all their success.
