We're zooming around Sunday River in the New England Forest Rally. We'll talk to the only Mainer in the National Collegiate Hall of Fame, former Patriot Coach, Dick MacPherson. And we're casting for recovery with a master Maine Guide, Bonnie Holding.

Show # 2010-12
Original airdate: July 31, 2010
This was a fun show to do and our third new program in July.
Segment one is on The New England Forest Rally, which is hosted in the area around Sunday River. All the biggest names were there and it was fun to talk with the very approachable Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and race winner Antoine L'Estage. Maine's own Chris Duplessis was particularly popular with the crowd. It's hard not to like action like this!
Our second segment is on Dick MacPherson. Coach Mac likes the "Mac" in his last name to be pronounced, as well as the "Fir." "Remember," he snaps, "there's no fear in MacPherson!" Dick was enshrined in the National College Football Hall of Fame on July 24, 2010. It's always an honor to be around Mac who is a truly inspirational guy. Here's more on Coach Mac and The National College Football Hall of Fame.
It was fun to pull out the old Leave No Trace story. That program is still going strong-although I admit, I don't use one of those tubes! For more info, check out the Leave No Trace webpage.
And the final segment is on a favorite of mine. Bonnie Holding has been a big part in the Maine outdoor community for a long, long time. She is a likeable and skilled guide who gives an awful lot back to the State of Maine.
