"They Heard the Dream" at Portland Public Library

The Portland Public Library will mark the 50th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's., stirring "I Have A Dream" speech on Tuesday, August 27th with "They Heard The Dream." Mainers who were at the Lincoln Memorial at the time will sit down for panel discussion, talking about memories, reflections and challenges for the 21st century. The panel discussion will be held in the Rines Auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This event is sponsored by The Portland NAACP, Portland Public Library, City of Portland, and Hon. Herb Adams.
