BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Laurie Sproul has always felt at home in the outdoors. Now this national class paddler is using what she has learned to make beautiful carvings.
Sproul carves flowers as works of art or to augment wall hangings, mirrors or other pieces of furniture.
She has rallied with other artist to prepare a show that will debut in Portland on September 6th. It will open at the gallery on September 6th. The show is called "Global Impact" and will focus on Maine and global warming. Maine youth is being invited to participate with projects.
