Singer Rod Picott to perform at St. Lawrence Arts

Rod Picott grew up in South Berwick, Maine where he became friends and formed a band with another Maine music icon, Slaid Cleaves. Rod is a truly gifted singer songwriter and guitar player. He released his debut album Tiger Tom Dixon's Blues in 2001 and has had a prolific career ever since. He recently released album Welding Burns received critical acclaim and spent 10 straight weeks on the AMA chart. He was voted Songwriter of the Year 2011 by the Freeform American Roots Radio reporters, and Male artist of the year by the FAR Chart reporters. Rod Picott's 2011 release Welding Burns spent 10 straight weeks on the AMA chart and reached #1on The FAR Chart.

Rod Picott will be in concert at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland Maine on Thursday, May 9 th at 7:00 PM.
