With everything going mobile these days, it only makes sense to see if you can enhance your trick or treating with a bunch of mobile apps.

Books: One of the classic horror stories is Frankenstein, which gets an interactive revamp in this book app. You can "chose your own adventure" as you move through the book. https://itunes.apple.com/app/frankenstein-for-ipad-iphone/id516047066

Social media: Nothing says "Halloween" like a zombie profile. That's where an app like iMut8r comes in handy. https://itunes.apple.com/app/imut8r/id335064394?mt=8

Food/Recipes: There are a number of apps for people looking to make creative snacks on mobile devices, but one of my favorites is Hallowfood. http://www.iphoneappstorm.com/iphone-apps/lifestyle/com.lazyyards.hallowfood/great-halloween-recipes.php?id=473962549

Sound Effects: Nothing sets the mood for trick or treaters like a creaking door or a werewolf howl. There are plenty of sound effects apps out there, but one I really liked was Halloween Box. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/halloween-spooky-sound-box/id395151638?mt=8

Games: If you're sitting around waiting for the next wave of trick or treaters, there are tons of great zombie games for you to play. Two of my favorites are Apocalypse Max http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vg4p0HNuSw

and Plants vs. Zombies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHAbHz8iYHc
