THOMASTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Troy Garrison of Thomaston is well known in his community. He is a lifelong resident and a police officer. Now Troy has turned pro as a bass fisherman and hopes to compete at the sport's highest level.
"I've loved to fish since I was a little boy," he told NEWS CENTER. "Sun, rain, wind, it doesn't matter much to me. Troy's easy going personality belies his competitive nature. "Bring em on," he said in talking about the talented fishermen he'll now be competing against. "I'll tell you. We have a tremendous number of talented fishermen here in Maine."
Garrison will be competing in three tournaments in New York and one in Alabama in the weeks ahead.
