Woodworking at the after school program!

At the Lafayette School in Sanford students are benefiting from a thriving after school program.  The program is called WOW for We're Open Wednesdays.  Special Ed. Teacher Lily Morin started the program off as an after school dance program but it quickly caught on and blossomed into a full after school program with lots of activities.  The content for the activities is provided by local community volunteers and includes yoga, dance, wood working theater and crafts.  There is no cost to the students.  Parents help keep transportation costs down by picking up the students after the program is over.  The response from the students has been phenominal with almost 100% participation in the program!
