KARA BEAL OF WATERBORO ASKS: "I get a lot of condensation on my windows in winter. How can I stop that from happening?"

TOM CARON OF NORTHEAST INSPECTIONS RESPONDS "the condensation is also a relatively common problem, and wiping those windows down is a good idea, because you can get minute or small amounts of mold on the bases of the windows and on the sills, so wipe them down later on. Probably another tip would be to go to Radio Shack and get a hygrometer. That's a thing that measures humidity. Put that in your house, and if you humidity is over 55%, then in general you have a humidity issue. If that becomes... if it gets to that point, I would recommend you call somebody in."
