When is this year's Festival? The 48th Annual WCSH 6 Sidewalk Art Festival is August 24, 2013, 9:00am-4:00pm.
I'm an artist; how do I participate? The official WCSH 6 Sidewalk Art Festival application form is available on WCSH6.com on March 1 each year. Applications are accepted by mail, courier, or in person (we do not accept "on-line" or electronic application), accompanied by the application fee, on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are able to accept 300 artists.
I'm an artist and I've sent in my application for the Festival. When will I receive my confirmation? Your cancelled check is your confirmation. More detailed info packets will be mailed to participating artists in early August.
Who is in charge of the Festival?
WCSH 6 organizes and oversees the Festival.
Where can I park? Although Congress Street (and sidestreets leading into Congress Street) will be closed to vehicular traffic by 8:00am, Portland parking garages and lots are open for business on the day of the Art Festival. Parking regulations are strictly enforced in Portland. Property owners in Portland reserve the right to tow illegally or improperly-parked vehicles.
Where are the restrooms? Portable toilets are located in Congress Square, at the corner of Congress & Oak Streets, the corner of Congress & Center Streets, and the corner of Free & Cross Streets.
When can I buy art? The WCSH 6 Sidewalk Art Festival is officially "open" 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please make every attempt to complete your purchases by 4:00pm, as artists need to pack and clean up to make way for the street to re-open to vehicles.
There are so many artists, how can I find who I'm looking for? Placement maps (.pdfs) will be available here in early August. Detailed brochures will also be available from Festival Staff, participating artists, at the WCSH 6 Auto Show, or at Festival Headquarters at WCSH 6.
