NEWRY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Every day hundreds of people ski the 8 peaks of Sunday River.
But did you know they offer outdoor adventures of a different kind this time of year too?
You don't need skis or skates, but you do need a bit of bravery. And Lee Nelson has it! Lee went ziplining down the mountain.
You take the lift up just like you would if you were going skiing, only you're going down the mountain tethered to a cable. You fly through the air at about 45 mph.
Sunday River has seven ziplines that start in the woods and end near the main lodge.
The pilot hooks you up. The co-pilot slows you down at the other end and the wing catches and un-hooks you. We're told people as old as 88 have taken a ride on the zipline.
In the winter, Sunday River only offers the zipline tours on the weekends. But in the warmer part of the year, they do 5 tours a day, every day.
